The FAF1100, PN 16 flanged ball valve operates with a ball having a bore the same size as the flow cross-section. The ball rotates a quarter turn (90 degrees) between Teflon seats, which must be parallel or perpendicular. It can be used bi-directionally. Thanks to the stainless steel plate spring-reinforced Teflon (PTFE) seats, 100% sealing is achieved at both low and high pressures. It can be mounted directly to the pump without the need for additional spacers. Teflon's compatibility with various fluids and resistance to higher temperatures allow it to be used in a wide range of applications. It is suitable for use in either the fully open or fully closed position. Since there is no reduction in flow in the fully open position, pressure loss is virtually zero.
